Hong Kong, Macau, and Avian Flu

In Hong Kong, I saw some even more delicious looking chicken claws in a grocery store. I can't imagine there is much meat on these things. In fact, I'm suddenly quite thankful that no one in Okinawa has tried to serve me these. Maybe this doesn't count as food in Japan?? Pig feet are edible of course, but what about chicken feet? At least each package of claws costs less than $1.

Then in the same grocery store, I learned something new. There are black chickens!! Are they only found in Hong Kong? Or are all the grocery stores I go to racist for not selling black chickens? Or could this possibly be a chicken soaked in squid ink?

In any case, the folks in Hong Kong are trying their best to prevent the spread of avian flu. Take a look at these signs I saw in the botanical garden/zoological park. (You might have to click on the photos to be able to read the text better.)

I detect a theme in your travels, Amy. (smile) Did you see any unusual birds in Korea?
