Golden Shower

Today a very nice teacher came up to me after class. She asked if I had any free time- because she wanted to show me a golden shower. And she said we would drive there to see it before the typhoon comes. I was a little confused.

It turns out that the golden shower is a kind of plant. Its flowers only bloom for maybe a week or two. Since tomorrow's typhoon will probably destroy the pretty flowers, we had to go see it today.

We also saw some other fun plants. Some sort of weird flower. And a dragon fruit tree. I thought it was a cactus!

And then as soon as I took these pictures, it started to rain. And now it is really windy. Good thing I moved all my monkey rocks into a closet.

I haven't been getting more hits than usual... but someone in France looked at my blog. First time I've had a reader from France!
