Even the most boring details of life can become interesting if you put them in a blog... right?

I spent the weekend in Chicago...

because my brother got married! It was a lovely, lovely wedding, and it was great to see so many familiar faces all in one place. And everyone spoke English!!! It was so exciting!

I spent the 2 days before the wedding wandering around Chicago and visiting with my family. In my wandering, I came across a Chicago Bull. And I didn't even have to buy a ticket! It was really hard to get on the bull because it was so tall! And look! I was wearing a hat and gloves! It was a bit of a shock to go from 80 degree Okinawa to 35 degree Chicago. Brrrrr!!!

And here is a picture of the happy couple. Aren't they cute??

Here is a picture of the happy couple plus siblings. Can you guess which one I am? This question was difficult for the people in my office. Only about half of them got it right.. you'd think they wouldn't choose the one in the wedding dress... (*Hint: I'm not wearing a wedding dress.*)

Then on my way from the hotel to the airport in Chicago, the taxi driver tried to give me $10 less change than he was supposed to! How dishonest! Good thing my jet lag was starting to wear off and I caught the mistake! How come this sort of thing doesn't ever happen in Okinawa?

With the exception of the taxi driver (who praised his own driving and told me i would have been late for my flight if I didn't have such a good driver), the weekend was wonderful! My brother should get married again next weekend!

Glad you "stuck it to the man" (mean taxi driver) and that you enjoyed Sweet Home Chicago! But I'm also happy you're back in Okinawa! What are your plans the next couple of weeks? I want to hear wedding stories---
